WELCOME!

"In the garden, in the studio, I want my hands in the earth."

All pieces are handmade, thrown on a potter's wheel, trimmed and glazed, and fired to cone ten. They are designed for a lifetime of use out of materials drawn from the earth. The mission of each piece is to move you beyond today's throwaway culture to a world in which craftsmanship and attention to detail slow the clock. Each object is shaped by hand to be intimate and unique; something to take the ordinary -- out of the ordinary -- even if it is just for that first sip of coffee or the dash to arrange some flowers from the garden before your friends arrive.

* Yep, you read that right. It's BRID.port not Bridgeport.
Bridport, Vermont has no "g" and no companion town in the U.S. though there is a Bridport, England. And for those of us with dyslexia, sometimes I write Birdport (which I rather like!).
